Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Manager to build strong driver relationships and coordinate loads to meet client needs.

The role requires collaboration with logistics managers to optimize origins, destinations, and freight types, while aligning with customer expectations and Werner standards. The position involves interfacing with multiple departments such as billing, safety, payroll, and maintenance, ensuring a full driver board and timely attendance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage, monitor and coordinate resources.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships to meet needs such as home time, payroll and equipment issues.
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on origin, destination and freight type.
• Understand and align with customer dynamics and Werner service expectations to improve value for the customer and Werner.
• Interface with Billing, Vans, Customer Service, Risk, Safety, Payroll, Fuel, Maintenance and external vendors.
• Work with the Dedicated Logistics Manager or Operations Manager to maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Maintain timely and regular attendance per the scheduled shift.
