Werner Enterprises, Inc. seeks a Fleet Manager to build and maintain driver relationships, optimize loads, and meet driver needs including home time, payroll, and equipment issues.

You will partner with Logistics Managers to balance origin/destination, freight type, and miles while coordinating with billing, safety, payroll, and other teams. A bachelor’s degree or 2–3 years of fleet experience is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or 2–3 years fleet management/transportation experience preferred.
• 6–12 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and management abilities; experience with computers and satellite communications required.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain driver relationships through understanding and meeting driver needs such as home time, payroll, and equipment issues.
• Partner with the Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops, and driver availability.
• Understand and adhere to customer dynamics and service expectations to improve value for the Customer and Werner.
• Interface with departments such as billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and external vendors.
• Work with the Dedicated Logistics Manager and/or the Operations Manager to fill and maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel.
