Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Management professional to build strong driver relationships and optimize loads using our operating and telematics systems.

You will collaborate with Dedicated Logistics Managers to align driver availability with freight origin, destination, and miles, while meeting customer expectations. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 2–3 years in fleet management, plus supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 2–3 years fleet management or transportation experience preferred.
• Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to operate a computer terminal and satellite communications system.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships using our systems and communications channels.
• Coordinate with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads.
• Understand customer dynamics and service expectations to improve value for Werner.
• Interface with billing, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance and external vendors.
• Collaborate with managers to keep a full board of drivers and schedule attendance.
