Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Management professional to build and maintain strong driver relationships and optimize loads across routes.

You will collaborate with Logistics Managers to align driver needs with customer demands and company goals, while coordinating with multiple internal departments to ensure smooth operations. The position emphasizes supervisory capabilities, organizational skills, and familiarity with transportation systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics.
• Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to use a computer terminal and satellite communications system.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships to meet driver needs including home time, payroll, equipment issues, and more using our systems and communication channels.
• Partner with the Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads by origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops, and availability.
• Understand and adhere to customer dynamics and service expectations to improve value for the Customer and Werner.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and external vendors.
• Work with the Dedicated Logistics Manager and Operations Manager to fill and maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift.
