WM is seeking an Operations Manager Trainee to oversee onboarding, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management of drivers and helpers. The role spends the majority of the day in the field with frontline employees, building strong relationships and guiding daily activities.

Responsibilities include coaching conversations, safety leadership, and ensuring regulatory compliance, while documenting DOT records and reviewing route operations.

Formación

• Associate's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of a degree, High School Diploma (accredited) and two (2) years of relevant work experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work.
• Driver's License Valid Driver's License Upon Hire.
• Preferred: WM Operations Manager Trainee program.

Responsabilidades

• Onboard, develop, coach, mentor, and manage performance of drivers and helpers.
• Meet with new frontline employees daily to support onboarding.
• Provide timely, consistent touchpoints with frontline employees.
• Review best practices to enhance daily performance.
• Address improvement opportunities with frontline employees and ensure ongoing success.
• Lead coaching conversations and model safety practices.
• Document and maintain DOT-related records and reviews.
• Visit customers/sites to evaluate safety issues and suggest alternatives.
