Qualifications

• Senior Web Experience Design role with 3+ years of people management experience.
• Experience with ecommerce, growth, conversion optimization, or other transactional digital experiences.
• Deep expertise in UX and UI design principles, accessibility, responsive design, and modern design processes.
• Exceptional collaboration and communication, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• A portfolio is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision for Cengage’s web experience and define a clear UX/UI strategy.
• Lead and mentor a design team, elevating experience quality and craft.
• Drive optimization across discovery, engagement, ecommerce, and conversion.
• Design across the full customer journey from acquisition to engagement.
• Use data to identify opportunities, combining research and analytics.
• Foster a culture of continuous testing and learning.
• Stay ahead of evolving web practices including AI-enabled experiences.
• Develop talent and leadership within the design team.
