Job summary

Cengage Group, a global education technology company, seeks a Director of Web Experience Design to shape the vision and strategy for Cengage’s web ecosystem, creating modern experiences that connect customers with our products and services.

You will lead and mentor a design team, drive experimentation, improve ecommerce and conversion, and design across the full customer journey. Grounded in user research and data, you’ll deliver measurable outcomes and stay ahead of evolving web practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading and developing high-performing design teams.
• Experience with ecommerce, growth, conversion optimization, or other transactional digital experiences.
• Portfolio is required.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision for Cengage’s web experience across discovery, engagement and conversion.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Engineering to run experiments (A/B and multivariate).
• Advance ecommerce and conversion experiences to boost performance.
• Design across the full customer journey from acquisition to engagement.
• Use qualitative and quantitative data to identify opportunities and prioritize work.
• Foster a culture of continuous optimization with measured experiments.
