Job summary

CGS is seeking an experienced Desktop/Workstation Design Engineer in Tampa to participate in architecture discussions, design planning, and technology roadmap efforts for desktop integration. You will lead OS image development, oversee MECM/MDT deployments, and ensure secure, up-to-date workstations across the enterprise.

The role requires Windows OS engineering experience, strong scripting skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance on large-scale deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience upgrading desktops from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and integrating with Exchange 2013/Office 2013.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance on Windows 10 imaging project.
• Windows OS engineering experience.
• Understanding of security controls on images.
• Microsoft Office engineering experience.
• Integrating antivirus in images.
• VPN/Remote access (Cisco Secure Access with RSA a plus).
• Windows scripting experience.
• Good writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Desktop OS image development and implementation.
• Engineer large-scale software deployment using MECM/MDT.
• Develop tests and deploy software packages to desktops, laptops, tablets, and servers.
• Provide information and recommendations to meet user software requirements.
• Script using Powershell and VBScript.
• Implement server OS deployment methodologies and automated builds.
• Support OS patching with BigFix or MECM.
• Analyze hardware across desktop, laptop, tablet, and server assets.
• Perform security-related tasks including vulnerability reviews and patch management.
