Job summary

CGS is seeking a Desktop/Workstation Design Engineer to participate in architecture discussions, system reviews, and planning for desktop integration efforts across the enterprise. The role requires hands-on expertise in OS image creation, deployment, and management using MECM/MDT, with scripting skills to automate tasks.

You will work with Windows 7/10 migrations, security patching, and hardware evaluation while collaborating with IT teams to deliver reliable desktop solutions.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate has experience upgrading desktops from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and integrating security patches and third-party apps.
• Experience with large-scale OS image deployment and software distribution processes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a collaborative IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead OS image development and deployment for desktop environments.
• Plan and implement software deployment using MECM/MDT across devices.
• Develop and test software distribution packages for desktops, laptops, tablets, and servers.
• Analyze user requirements and provide hardware/software recommendations.
• Support patch management and security auditing activities.
