Job summary

CGS is seeking an experienced Desktop/Workstation Design Engineer to participate in architecture discussions, system reviews, design planning, and technology roadmap planning for current and future desktop integration efforts.

The role involves building and maintaining Windows OS images, deploying software via MECM/MDT, managing patching, and ensuring security and compliance across desktops, laptops, tablets, and servers.

Qualifications

• Experience upgrading desktops from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and upgrading applications.
• Independently work with minimal guidance on Windows 10 image engineering.
• Windows OS engineering experience.
• Security controls on the image.
• Office engineering experience with Exchange 2013.
• Integrating antivirus in images.
• VPN/Remote access knowledge (Cisco Secure Access with RSA a plus).
• Windows scripting experience.
• Strong writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements OS images for enterprise deployment.
• Manages software distribution packages and updates via MECM/MDT.
• Supports OS patching infrastructure and vulnerability management.
• Evaluates hardware across desktops, laptops, tablets, and servers.
• Provides recommendations to meet user software requirements.
