Job summary
CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks an experienced Desktop/Workstation Design Engineer to help architect and plan desktop integration efforts. You will lead OS image development, automate large-scale software deployment, and support patching and security tasks across desktops, laptops, tablets, and servers.
The role requires independent work, strong scripting in PowerShell, and familiarity with MECM/MDT, Ipro, Concordance, and VMware environments.
Qualifications
- Experience upgrading desktops from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and upgrading apps.
- Experience litigating software such as Ipro and Concordance.
- Independently work with minimal guidance on Windows 10 image engineering.
- Understand security controls in image deployment.
- Experience with Office engineering and antivirus integration.
- Experience with VPN/remote access and scripting.
Responsibilities
- Act as SME for Desktop OS image development and implementation.
- Engineer large-scale software deployment using MECM/MDT.
- Develop and test software distribution packages for desktops and servers.
- Provide recommendations to meet user software requirements.
- Support OS patching infrastructure (BigFix/WSUS/MECM).
- Analyze hardware and perform security-related tasks and auditing.
