Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking an experienced Desktop/Workstation Design Engineer to participate in architecture discussions, system reviews, and technology roadmap planning for desktop integration efforts.

You will lead OS image development, deploy software via MECM/MDT, and ensure security and patching across desktops, laptops, tablets, and servers within the enterprise. The role requires independent work and strong collaboration with IT teams.

Qualifications

• Experience building and upgrading Windows OS images for enterprise desktops.
• Experience with MECM/MDT for large-scale software deployment.
• Ability to script in PowerShell or VBScript.
• Knowledge of patch management and OS security hardening.
• Familiarity with Ipro and Concordance litigation software.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of desktop OS images.
• Develop and deploy software via MECM/MDT across devices.
• Evaluate hardware for desktops, laptops, tablets, and servers.
• Support OS patching infrastructure (BigFix or MECM).
• Provide security-related documentation and auditing.
• Assist in server OS deployment methodologies.
