Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks an experienced Desktop/Workstation Design Engineer to participate in architecture discussions, system reviews, and roadmap planning for desktop integration efforts. The role focuses on OS image development, large-scale deployments, and patch management across desktops, laptops, tablets, and servers.

Ideal candidates will have Windows OS engineering experience, scripting skills (PowerShell/VBScript), and familiarity with MECM/MDT, with a proactive

Qualifications

• Experience upgrading desktops from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and upgrading applications.
• Independent work capability with minimal guidance in a Windows 10 image project.
• Windows OS engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Understanding security controls on images and patching processes.
• Microsoft Office engineering experience and integration with Exchange 2013.
• Integrating antivirus solutions in a desktop image.
• Experience with VPN/Remote access including Cisco Secure Access.
• Proficient in Windows scripting and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for desktop OS image development and implementation.
• Architect and review large-scale OS deployment using MECM/MDT.
• Develop, test, and deploy software packages to desktops, laptops, tablets, and servers.
• Provide recommendations to meet user software requirements and policy controls.
• Support OS patching infrastructure (BigFix or MECM) for security updates.
