Job summary

Sysco Syracuse, LLC is seeking an Operations Supervisor responsible for supervising the activities related to Delivery. You will lead delivery staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold safety in the delivery department.

The role includes managing labor hours, preparing schedules, and coordinating with Sales and Marketing to resolve customer or delivery issues. Travel up to 25% may be required and a potential incentive plan participation is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 2- or 4-year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or similar major preferred.
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training.
• Complete a Sysco approved defensive driving program.
• HazMat certification preferred.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License meeting Company standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily work and safety of Delivery Associates, including adherence to SOPs and routes.
• Ensures Delivery Associate compliance with DOT, OSHA and keeps logs current and accurate.
• Manages labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
• Prepares work schedules including extra work days and shifts.
• Oversees proper selection and utilization of company assets in Delivery.
• Organizes required repairs with proper departments as necessary.
• Reviews delivery functions and productivity reporting.
• Interprets trains and enforces company policies and procedures including food safety, DOT, and records.
