Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Operations supervisor to oversee Delivery Associates and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient service. You will manage daily activities, adherence to routes, and maintain regulatory compliance while coordinating with sales and marketing teams.

Strong leadership and communication skills are essential. This role requires 1–3 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and may prefer a college degree in Business or Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 2- or 4-year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or similar major preferred.
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training.
• HazMat certification preferred.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License meeting company standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily work and safety of Delivery Associates, including adherence to standard operating procedures, adherence to planned routes, and providing safe and efficient customer service.
• Ensures Delivery Associate compliance with federal regulations (DOT, OSHA) and maintains electronic logs.
• Manages labor hours and consumable supplies within budget; prepares work schedules and shifts as needed.
• Oversees asset utilization and coordinates repairs with proper departments.
• Reviews delivery functions and productivity reporting; suggests efficiency and cost-reduction ideas.
• Interprets company policies and procedures including food safety, DOT, record keeping, etc.
• Communicates with Sales Management and Marketing Associates to resolve customer or delivery issues; visits customer locations to address issues.
• Maintains associate relations through pre-shift meetings and ongoing communication; monitors morale.
• Coordinates safety training with the Safety department and conducts investigations.
• Executes staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews and terminations when required.
