Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee Delivery activities, including staff supervision, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures adherence to DOT/OSHA guidelines, manages schedules, and drives efficiency in the delivery function.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and may possess a Business/SCM degree. A Class A CDL and HazMat certification are preferred as is defensive driving training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 2- or 4-year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or similar major preferred.
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training.
• HazMat certification preferred.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License meeting Company standards preferred.
• Complete a Sysco approved defensive driving program.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of Delivery Associates and adherence to SOPs and routes.
• Ensures regulatory compliance (DOT, OSHA) and accurate electronic logs.
• Manages labor hours and consumables within budget.
• Prepares work schedules including extra shifts as needed.
• Oversees asset use and coordinates repairs with proper departments.
• Reviews delivery functions and productivity reporting.
• Implements efficiency improvements and delivery changes.
• Communicates with Sales and Marketing to resolve issues.
