Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee Delivery staff, ensuring safety, compliance with federal regulations, and efficient, customer-focused service. The role includes scheduling, discipline, and collaboration with Sales/Marketing to address delivery opportunities.

The position requires 1–3 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to manage labor and expenses within budget.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 2 or 4-year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or similar major preferred.
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily work and safety of Delivery Associates, including adherence to SOPs, routes, and customer service.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (DOT, OSHA) and maintains logs.
• Manages labor hours and consumable supplies within budget; prepares work schedules.
• Oversees selection and use of assets to support the Delivery department; arranges repairs as needed.
• Reviews delivery functions and productivity reporting; suggests efficiency and cost-reduction ideas.
• Interprets and enforces company policies, safety and regulatory procedures.
• Communicates with Sales Management and Marketing to address customer issues and delivery opportunities.
• Visits customer locations to address issues and assess delivery difficulty.
