Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking an experienced Delivery Supervisor to oversee daily delivery operations, ensure safety, and enforce regulatory compliance including DOT/OSHA standards. The role involves managing staff schedules, optimizing routes, and coordinating with Sales and Marketing to resolve delivery issues.

The position requires strong leadership, extensive knowledge of regulations, and the ability to improve efficiency while maintaining high safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; 2-4 year college degree in Business Management or Supply Chain preferred.
• HazMat certification preferred; Defensive driving program completed.
• Valid Class A CDL required; able to meet company standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of Delivery Associates, ensuring SOP adherence and safe, efficient customer service.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal agencies (DOT, OSHA) and maintains current electronic logs.
• Manages labor hours and consumables within budget; prepares work schedules including extra shifts as needed.
• Oversees asset utilization and coordinates repairs with related departments to support delivery.
• Reviews productivity reports and explores efficiency improvements and cost reduction opportunities.
• Coordinates with Safety department for training, incident investigations and safety inspections.
