Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Operations leader to supervise delivery staff and direct routes, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with delivery supervisors and drivers to ensure accurate routing and customer service, while leveraging data to optimize plans.

Your role includes directing labor, scheduling, asset utilization, and adherence to DOT and safety standards, with strong communication to Sales and Marketing for issue resolution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two- or four-year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
• One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Defensive driving program (Sysco approved) and HazMat certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of delivery associates and enforces SOPs.
• Analyzes live and historical data to optimize delivery plans and on-time service.
• Manages labor hours and directs labor activities to stay within budget.
• Coordinates schedules, stop changes, and window times with stakeholders.
• Ensures proper use of assets and coordinates repairs as needed.
• Reviews productivity reports and reports findings to supervisors.
• Suggests efficiency and cost-reduction measures and supports implementation.
• Trains on policies, DOT regulations, record keeping and safety procedures.
• Maintains communication with Sales and Marketing to resolve delivery opportunities.
• Directs drivers to meet daily schedules and performance goals.
• Collaborates with Transportation Road Supervisors and Safety Trainer on training and safety inspections.
• Proficient keyboarding and Microsoft Office usage; creates ad hoc reports.
