Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to support the transportation manager/director in supervising delivery and backhaul activities. You will train and supervise transportation associates, ensure compliance with government regulations, and promote safety and security of the department.

Responsibilities include supervising daily work and safety, ensuring DOT/OSHA compliance, scheduling, coordinating asset usage, and collaborating with warehousing and customer service to resolve delivery

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of transportation experience
• Class A CDL preferred but not required
• Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT rules and SOPs
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily work and safety of transportation staff and adherence to SOPs
• Ensure DOT/OSHA compliance and accurate electronic logs
• Plan schedules and training for associates
• Coordinate proper use of company assets and maintenance as needed
• Review delivery productivity and propose efficiency improvements
• Collaborate with warehouse and customer service to resolve delivery issues
• Travel to other distribution centers or the corporate office as needed
