Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute seeks an Operations leader to direct delivery activities, safety, and staff coordination. You will oversee routing, budgeting, and compliance with federal and state regulations, while driving efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The role requires directing supervisors, ensuring SOP adherence, and optimizing daily routes and resources. Strong knowledge of DOT/OSHA rules and proven leadership in transportation operations are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations and safety policies.
• Experience directing delivery staff and optimizing routing and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily work and safety of Delivery supervisors, routing personnel and other associates.
• Ensure management staff appropriately handles day-to-day delivery activities and SOP adherence.
• Maintain regulatory compliance with local, state and federal agencies (DOT, OSHA, etc.).
• Direct labor hours, travel, fuel, and supplies within budget to maximize efficiency.
• Prepare work schedules and coordinate asset utilization for the Delivery department.
• Monitor KPI and customer satisfaction to meet or exceed goals.
• Coordinate with Safety to train, investigate incidents, and uphold safety standards.
• Lead performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and staff development when needed.
