Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee Delivery staff, ensure compliance with DOT/OSHA regulations, and maintain safety and efficiency in the delivery department. You will direct daily activities, manage schedules, and work with Sales/Marketing to address customer delivery issues.

The role requires strong leadership, adherence to procedures, and ability to manage resources within budget, while maintaining high service levels and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2- or 4-year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or similar major preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise delivery staff daily and ensure safe, efficient customer service.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (DOT, OSHA, etc.).
• Manage labor hours and supplies within budget.
• Prepare work schedules including extra days and shifts.
• Oversee asset utilization and coordinate repairs with relevant departments.
• Review delivery productivity and implement efficiency improvements.
• Enforce company policies and safety procedures consistently.
