Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute is seeking an Operations leader to direct Delivery activities, oversee staff safety, and manage budgets and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on strategic project implementation, cost control, and ensuring safe, efficient customer service.

The candidate will direct daily routing, labor, and asset use while aligning with company policies and safety standards to meet KPI targets and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 7 years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination.
• Experience managing delivery operations and staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily work and safety of Delivery supervisors, routing personnel and other associates.
• Ensure management staff effectively manages day-to-day delivery activities and adherence to SOPs.
• Maintain regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal agencies (DOT, OSHA).
• Manage budgets including labor hours, travel, fuel and supplies.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance of assets supporting the Delivery department.
• Monitor KPIs and customer satisfaction; adjust activities to meet goals.
• Prepare budgets, profit plans, and capital requests; review performance metrics.
• Lead and develop staff, conduct performance reviews, and address disciplinary actions.
