Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute seeks an Operations supervisor for the Delivery team in the United States. The role oversees daily delivery activities, enforces safety protocols, and ensures compliance with federal and local regulations.

You will direct staff, manage schedules, and coordinate with Sales/Marketing to resolve delivery issues. Responsibilities include optimizing routes, monitoring performance, and maintaining logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2- or 4-year degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or similar preferred.
• 1–3 years related experience and/or training.
• Sysco approved defensive driving program required; HazMat certification preferred; Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily work and safety of Delivery Associates and ensure adherence to SOPs and routes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (DOT, OSHA, etc.) and accurate electronic logs.
• Manage labor hours and supplies within budget; prepare schedules and shifts.
• Oversee asset usage and coordinate repairs with relevant departments.
• Review delivery performance and implement efficiency and cost-reduction ideas.
• Enforce company policies and safety procedures; communicate with Sales/Marketing to resolve issues.
• Visit customer sites to address delivery challenges and opportunities.
• Maintain associate relations through regular meetings and updates.
• Coordinate with Safety department for training, investigations, and inspections.
