Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute is seeking an experienced Operations leader to direct delivery activities, oversee safety and regulatory compliance, and drive profitability through efficient routing and staffing.

You will supervise delivery supervisors, manage budgets, and collaborate with Sales and Marketing to address customer issues, while maintaining performance metrics and adherence to DOT/OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7 years' related experience and/or training.
• Valid Class A CDL with HazMat and Doubles certifications.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily work and safety of Delivery supervisors, routing personnel and other associates.
• Ensure management staff effectively handles day-to-day delivery activities and customer service.
• Maintain regulatory compliance with local, state and federal agencies (DOT, OSHA, etc.).
• Direct labor hours, travel, fuel and consumables within budget to maximize efficiency.
• Prepare work schedules including extra days and shift coverage as needed.
• Oversee asset use and repairs to support the Delivery department.
• Monitor KPI achievement and customer satisfaction goals.
• Coordinate with Sales and Marketing to resolve customer issues.
• Lead productivity and routing software adoption and updates.
