Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute seeks an Operations supervisor to oversee Delivery staff, enforce safety, and ensure compliance with regulations. The role directs daily activities, schedules, and asset use while coordinating with Sales and Safety departments to address delivery issues.

Ideal candidates have a background in logistics, 1–3 years of related experience, and a focus on safety, efficiency, and policy compliance across DOT and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 2- or 4-year college degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management or similar major preferred.
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of Delivery Associates; ensures adherence to SOPs and routes.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (DOT, OSHA) and keeps e-logs current.
• Manages labor hours and consumables within budget; prepares work schedules including extra days and shifts.
• Oversees proper selection and use of company assets; coordinates repairs with relevant departments.
• Reviews delivery functions and productivity reporting; suggests efficiency and cost-reduction ideas.
