Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee Delivery staff and ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient customer service. Your role includes managing schedules, budgets, and asset utilization across the delivery network.

Responsibilities emphasize adherence to DOT/OSHA regulations, safety training, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales and Marketing to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 2- or 4-year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or similar major preferred.
• 1–3 years related experience required.
• Defensive driving program completed (Sysco approved).
• HazMat certification preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL meeting company standards preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and word processing; ability to learn Sysco technology software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily work and safety of Delivery Associates and ensure SOPs and routes are followed.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (DOT, OSHA) and maintain accurate electronic logs.
• Manage labor hours and consumables within budget and prepare work schedules.
• Coordinate asset usage and schedule repairs with relevant departments.
• Review productivity reporting and identify efficiency or cost-reduction opportunities.
• Communicate with Sales and Marketing to resolve customer or delivery issues.
• Maintain open communication with associates and oversee performance reviews and discipline as needed.
