Motorola Solutions is seeking a Business Development Engineer for USSOCOM to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements and emerging trends. You will work with Engineering and Business Development to demonstrate system capabilities and support field-testing across multi-domain environments.

The role involves up to 50% travel to customer sites and labs, with a 100% remote work option depending on location. A SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15 months is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Citizen due to clients under U.
• Practical experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux environments, or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++) for test automation.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate technical capabilities, interoperability, low-signature performance, and field-readiness of StreamCaster MANET radios across multi-domain environments.
• Support USSOCOM acquisition stakeholders and Component Commands.
• Assist in analyzing capability gaps and map operational needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Coordinate field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations with Engineering and Business Development teams.
