Job summary

Motorola Solutions, via Silvus Technologies, is seeking a Business Development Engineer for USSOCOM to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements. You will support in demonstrations, field trials, and interoperability across tactical edge networks, collaborating with Applications Engineering and BD teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense tech roles; OR a high school diploma with 5+ years of relevant tech/defense experience.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Citizen due to clients under U.
• Practical experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux environments, or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++) for test automation.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team setting.
• Outdoor environment for large-scale field trials and tactical demonstrations.
• Occasional exposure to heat, cold, and allergens in rugged field environments.
• Lift equipment up to 50 lbs. for demonstrations

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical capabilities and field-readiness of StreamCaster radios across multi-domain environments.
• Support network configuration, field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate to leverage testing data and verify solution architectures.
• Align with Business Development on technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Build and present demonstrations tailored to USSOCOM and components.
• Identify potential integrations with industry partners through market research.
• Engage with USSOCOM stakeholders to translate feedback into roadmap inputs.
