Job summary

Motorola Solutions, through its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer, USSOCOM, to bridge RF capabilities with SOF customer requirements. This role involves supporting acquisition stakeholders, demonstrating interoperability of StreamCaster radios, and field-ready solutions across multi-domain environments.

The position requires up to 50% travel to customer sites and labs, with a 100% remote option depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of experience; OR HS diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Exposure to Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map operational needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan network configurations, conduct field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate to leverage testing and benchmarking data to verify architectures.
• Support Business Development with technical needs and align with strategic priorities.
• Create and present technical demonstrations for low-signature and tactical edge needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses.
• Perform market research for potential integrations and test end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with USSOCOM and component command stakeholders to translate needs into roadmap inputs.
• Travel to customer sites and labs to support field deployments.
