Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Database Service Manager to lead and architect database platform solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will shape the database technology roadmap and partner with IT leaders to deliver scalable, secure, cost-effective data services.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of database experience, strong SQL Server and Oracle expertise, and a proven ability to drive projects with cross-functional teams while aligning with Dow’s standards and SLAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience at or above a US E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant or 8 years of experience in lieu of a bachelors degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a closely related field.
• Ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship is available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze and implement state-of-the-art RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle and others) for Dow’s IT applications; on-prem, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with Database IT Leader and Enterprise Architecture to develop and maintain database technologies roadmap.
• Architect, Design and Implement backup, HA, DR and related activities; installation, patching, upgrades.
• Partner with Database Managed Services to ensure timely delivery of optimal database solutions and daily operations.
• Ensure Change, Incident and Problem Management tickets are handled per SLAs; maintain audits and licensing.
