Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions across on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will collaborate with IT leaders and enterprise teams to shape the database technology roadmap and ensure reliable, scalable systems.

Daily duties include backup, high availability, disaster recovery, installation and upgrades, and working with managed services to meet SLAs. Strong SQL Server/Oracle skills and Azure experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience at or above a U.S. E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant or 8 years of experience in lieu of a bachelors degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a closely related field.
• Ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead database platform solutions for Dow across on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with IT leaders to develop and maintain database technology roadmaps.
• Design and implement backup, HA, DR, installation, patching and upgrades for database systems.
• Coordinate with managed services to ensure timely delivery and SLA adherence.
• Maintain database inventory and support licensing and audits.
