Job summary

Dow seeks a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platforms across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will drive backup/recovery, high availability and disaster recovery, while coordinating with enterprise architecture teams and a managed services partner to meet Dow’s standards and cost targets.

The role requires deep SQL Server/Oracle experience, familiarity with cloud databases, and strong collaboration across IT, security and development teams to optimize

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience or 8 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a closely related field.
U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

Architect, design and implement modern database solutions for backup/recovery, HA and DR.
Collaborate with IT leaders to develop and maintain database technologies roadmap.
Partner with Managed Services to deliver efficient database solutions and operations.
Ensure changes, incidents and problems are handled per SLAs.
