Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will collaborate with IT leaders and architects to deliver scalable, secure database services that align with Dow’s standards and optimize total cost of ownership.

The role emphasizes backup, high availability, disaster recovery, upgrades, licensing management, and audits, with a focus on automation and security. Relocation is not indicated.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or military experience at or above U.S. E5 or Canadian equivalent, or 8 years in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a closely related field.
U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

Architect and lead database platform solutions for on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments.
Collaborate with Database IT Leader and Enterprise Architecture teams on roadmap.
Design and implement backup, HA, DR, and upgrade activities.
Partner with Managed Services to ensure timely, efficient delivery of tasks.
Maintain database inventory and licensing, and support audits.
