Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will drive database strategy, oversee backups, HA/DR, and upgrades, and partner with IT leaders to ensure compliant, cost‑effective operations.

The role requires deep SQL Server/Oracle experience, cloud familiarity (Azure), and strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams. Relocation not provided; US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience at or above a U.S. E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant or 8 years of experience in lieu of a bachelors degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a closely related field.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead database platform solutions for Dow.
• Research, analyze and implement state-of-the-art RDBMS and other database technologies (on-prem, cloud, hybrid).
• Collaborate to develop and maintain a database technologies roadmap.
• Design and implement backup/recovery, HA, DR, installation, patching, upgrades.
