Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions across on‑premise, cloud and hybrid environments. You will collaborate with IT leaders to shape a modern database technology roadmap and oversee backup, HA/DR, installation, patching and upgrades.

Strong SQL Server and Oracle skills, plus Azure experience, are required. You will partner with Managed Services and ensure SLAs are met, while optimizing cost and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience at or above a U.S. E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant or 8 years of experience in lieu of a bachelors degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a closely related field.
• A U.S. work authorization is required; no visa sponsorship is available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design and implement database platform solutions for Dow.
• Research, analyze and implement RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle) and other DB technologies for on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with IT leaders to develop and maintain a database technology roadmap.
• Ensure backup/recovery, high availability, disaster recovery and day-to-day DB administration tasks.
