Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions across on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments.

You will partner with IT leaders to define roadmaps, oversee backup/recovery, high availability and disaster recovery, and ensure efficient, secure operations with a focus on cost and performance. You will collaborate with Cloud and On-prem teams, developers and security to deliver solutions that meet Dow’s standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience at or above US E5 or Canadian PO2, or 8 years of experience in lieu
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a closely related field
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship available for this position

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead database platform solutions across on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments
• Collaborate with IT leaders to develop and maintain database technology roadmaps
• Design and implement backup/recovery, HA and DR strategies and day-to-day operations
• Coordinate with Managed Services to ensure timely service delivery and adherence to SLAs
• Manage licensing, inventory and audits related to database assets
• Automate database activities using AI tools while maintaining security and performance
