Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role emphasizes security, performance, and cost-efficiency while coordinating with Enterprise Architecture and managed services teams.

Responsibilities include governance of backups, high availability, DR, installations, patches, and upgrades, as well as license management and audits. Relocation aid is not provided for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant or 8 years of experience in lieu of a bachelors degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a closely related field.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship provided for this position.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design and lead database platform solutions for Dow across on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with IT leaders to develop and maintain the database technologies roadmap.
• Ensure backup/recovery, high availability, DR and day-to-day installation, patching and upgrades.
• Partner with Managed Services to deliver optimal database solutions and meet SLAs.
• Coordinate with Cloud/On-premise teams to deliver cost-efficient, performant database solutions.
