Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Database Service Manager to lead architecture and delivery of database platform solutions across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role collaborates with IT leadership to drive roadmaps, implement backup, HA, and DR, and to ensure operations meet SLAs while controlling TCO.

Responsibilities include licensing management, audits support, and leveraging AI tools to automate database tasks with a focus on security and performance. Relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience at or above US E5 or Canadian PO2, or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 5 years of professional database-related experience.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design and implement database solutions for on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with IT leaders and EA teams to develop a database tech roadmap.
• Manage backup/recovery, HA, DR and routine installation/patching/ups upgrades.
• Coordinate with MSP for timely delivery and daily operations.
• Ensure changes/incidents/problems are handled per SLAs.
• Maintain Dow's database inventory and licensing needs; support audits.
• Automate activities using AI while ensuring security and performance.
