Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support low-voltage installation quality and technical training on data center construction projects. The role blends field inspections, QA audits, curriculum development, and hands-on coaching to improve installation practices and technical proficiency.

The QAS collaborates with project teams, operations leadership, customers, and the training team to ensure adherence to project specs and customer quality requirements while driving

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years QA/QC experience in low-voltage/telecommunications/construction preferred.
• 1+ year in technical training or field coaching.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training including classroom instruction and hands-on coaching.
• Develop curricula and learning paths for new and experienced staff.
• Lead site-specific Quality Plans and startup processes.
• Coordinate First-of-Kind installation reviews and secure customer approvals.
• Conduct daily inspections and quality audits to verify standards.
• Maintain quality records in IES and customer reporting systems.
• Prepare weekly quality performance reports and escalate risks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on ongoing improvements.
