Job summary

IES Communications seeks a Crew Lead - Structured Cabling to oversee on-site voice and data installation projects. This hands-on leadership role combines technical expertise with crew supervision and customer coordination to deliver projects safely and to quality standards.

You will lead teams, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with project management to meet schedules and budgets in a fast-paced data center environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in telecommunications or structured cabling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop installation crews: assign work, train, monitor performance, escalate as needed.
• Keep projects on track with PMs to meet productivity, schedules, and budgets.
• Maintain safety and quality through weekly safety meetings and quality checks.
• Troubleshoot installation challenges using structured cabling knowledge.
• Coordinate documentation: timesheets, work orders, changes, materials, transfers.
• Support voice/data cross-connects: moves, cut sheets, red-lined drawings.
• Serve as on-site customer contact and address questions at meetings.
• Identify process improvements and perform other duties as assigned.
