Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Project Lead - Structured Cabling to act as the on-site coordinator and supervisor for voice and data installation projects. You will drive crew performance, ensure safety and quality compliance, and coordinate with the Project Manager to meet goals and budgets.

The role requires you to complete all project paperwork, perform site surveys and red-lined drawings, and serve as the main customer contact.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
• Must be able to terminate fiber.
• Minimum of six (6) months of supervisory and/or managerial experience.
• Must possess and be able to effectively use the listed tools.
• Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
• Must know the universal communications color codes.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
• Must meet Company minimum driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead major project crews and provide training to staff.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure productivity and budget adherence.
• Complete IES paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, work orders, etc).
• Perform quality checks, coordinate moves, and prepare red-lined drawings.
• Serve as main on-site customer contact and attend meetings as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on site.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
