Job summary

IES is seeking a Crew Lead Infrastructure Technician to act as the on-site coordinator and crew supervisor for voice and data installation projects. You will ensure job completion meets quality and safety requirements while guiding staff and coordinating with the Project Manager.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, ability to read blueprints, safety leadership, and effective customer communication. On-site work in the United States with travel as needed; pay is $30–$32 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in telecoms or related technical field.
• Must be able to terminate fiber.
• Must possess a minimum of six (6) months of supervisory and/or managerial experience.
• Must be proficient with listed tools and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• The Crew Lead Infrastructure Technician will consistently run major project crews; assume responsibility for effective performance and provide necessary training; assume responsibility for adherence to Company and customer safety and quality guidelines and hold weekly safety meetings; initiate performance related communications and elevate to Project Manager if necessary.
• The Crew Lead Infrastructure Technician coordinates with Project Manager to ensure productivity, job completion and compliance with project budget.
• The Crew Lead Infrastructure Technician fully completes all IES COMMERCIAL and project paperwork accurately and on time (specifically timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required).
• The Crew Lead Infrastructure Technician will perform quality checks, and will prepare red-lined as-built drawings.
• The Crew Lead Infrastructure Technician serves as main on-site customer contact for questions and/or concerns; attend facility and construction meetings when required.
• The Crew Lead Infrastructure Technician performs work consistently demonstrating a detailed level of technical knowledge; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• The Crew Lead Infrastructure Technician will complete other responsibilities as assigned.
