Job summary

IES is seeking a Crew Lead - Structured Cabling to coordinate and supervise voice and data infrastructure installation projects on-site. The role emphasizes safety, scheduling, and adherence to quality standards while guiding technicians and coordinating with project management.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience in structured cabling, can read blueprints, and will manage documentation, field tasks, and client communications to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

Minimum five years' supervisory or managerial experience.
Lead Communications Technician or similar role experience required.
Five years' experience in telecommunications or related field.
Proficient with computer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
Must meet driving standards.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise structured cabling installation crews on large-scale projects.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and training to technicians.
Enforce safety standards and conduct weekly safety meetings.
Coordinate daily activities with the Project Manager or Lead to maintain productivity and budget.
Complete project documentation on time (timesheets, work orders, change orders, etc.).
Perform quality inspections and ensure installations meet standards.
Coordinate voice and data cross-connects, MAC work.
Prepare and maintain as-built drawings.
