Job summary

IES Communications on-site Lead Communications Technician role overseeing voice/data installation projects. You will coordinate crews, ensure safety and quality, and maintain staff efficiency to complete assignments.

You will lead project crews, collaborate with the Project Manager, manage paperwork, and perform quality checks. The role requires strong technical knowledge and effective customer communication; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years telecommunications or related technical field experience.
• Must be able to terminate fiber.
• Minimum 6 months supervisory/managerial experience.
• Proficient with listed tools and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
• Must be able to interpret blueprints and project documents.
• Must know universal communications color codes.
• Must meet Company driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead major project crews and ensure effective performance; provide training.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure productivity and budget compliance.
• Complete all project paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, transfers, work orders, change orders).
• Perform quality checks and prepare red-lined as-built drawings.
• Serve as main on-site customer contact for questions or concerns.
