Job summary

IES is seeking a Project Lead - Structured Cabling to act as the on-site coordinator for multiple Crew Leads on voice and data installation projects. You will ensure completion per safety and quality standards while maintaining staff efficiency.

You will oversee training, coordinate with the Project Manager for productivity and budget, and complete all project paperwork accurately and on time. Strong supervisory experience and fiber termination skills are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
• Must be able to terminate fiber.
• Must possess a minimum of six (6) months of supervisory and/or managerial experience.
• Must possess and be able to effectively use the tools listed above.
• Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
• Must know the universal communications color codes.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
• Must meet Company minimum driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead major project crews and train staff while ensuring safety, quality, and project efficiency.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure productivity, timely completion, and budget compliance.
• Complete IES COMMERCIAL and project paperwork on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers).
• Perform quality checks, coordinate moves, and prepare red-lined as-built drawings for voice and data cabling.
• Serve as the main on-site contact for customer questions and attend project meetings as required.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain consistent on-site performance.
• Handle additional responsibilities as assigned.
