Job summary

Summit is seeking an experienced cook supervisor to join our correctional team in Salem, VA. You will coordinate and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and adherence to high standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include training employees in food service, sanitation, portion control, and on-time meal service; strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task are essential. Prior supervisory experience in high-volume kitchens is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with scratch cooking.
• Knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and train employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation; ensure meals begin on time and meet quality standards.
