Job summary

Cedarhurst Living is seeking a Resident Assistant to support residents in daily activities and care, reporting to the Director of Nursing. The role emphasizes compassionate care, safety, and engagement within the community.

You will work with the care team to monitor health, support personalized care plans, and promote residents’ independence and dignity in a welcoming living environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant in a senior living community or healthcare setting preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with common digital tools and applications (Microsoft Office, electronic health record systems, HR-related systems) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs (grooming, hygiene, dressing, nutrition).
• Respond to signal lights and intercom to determine resident needs.
• Monitor vitals and intake/output as directed.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Help with meals, dining room assistance, and activities participation.
• Support communication with families and care team.
