Job summary

Everstory Partners is seeking a Sales Counselor in Richmond, VA to guide families through funeral and cemetery decisions. You will manage leads, build a local pipeline, and consult with clients to provide compassionate product recommendations.

The role includes uncapped commissions or a guaranteed minimum hourly rate, paid training during the first 6 weeks, and mileage reimbursement for business travel. This is a full-time on-site position with evening/weekend hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is a plus (Spanish, Chinese, etc.).
• One year of sales or relationship-based experience preferred.
• Experience with CRM software (HubSpot, Salesforce, MS Dynamics) preferred.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement.
• Must obtain and maintain all state-required licenses or registrations within required timelines.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals and families to understand needs and advise on products and services.
• Sell pre-need and at-need funeral services, cemetery property, memorial products, and related merchandise.
• Build and maintain a pipeline through leads, walk-ins, referrals, prospecting, networking, and outreach.
• Respond to inbound leads and follow-up with prospective customers.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers and community members.
• Explain products, pricing, and options clearly and compassionately.
• Guide customers through purchasing decisions and complete sales contracts.
• Use HubSpot to manage leads, appointments, follow-up, and opportunities.
• Attend funeral and memorial services as appropriate to support families.
• Partner with funeral home, cemetery, operations, and leadership teams to ensure a positive experience.
