Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and financial functions for a housing community on site. You will supervise staff, assist with budgeting, manage accounts receivable, and ensure resident satisfaction through effective leasing and service.

The role focuses on rent collection, charge postings, and daily postings; you will implement marketing plans and retention programs while ensuring compliance with company policies and housing laws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years of housing industry experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations and financial functions of the housing community under supervision of the Community Manager.
• Post payments and income from applicants, residents, and non-residents accurately.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable and monitor bad debt and evictions.
• Assist in budgeting, revenue, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Lease management: show, lease, and move-in prospective residents; implement marketing strategies.
• Supervise onsite staff; train, coach, and develop team; ensure policy compliance.
